Greener Grass

I read this book the other day and the main focus of it was to inform us that people are always looking for the greener grass. They always want more and that is human nature. If you were to ask someone what they needed to be happy and they answered you they would always want something more than they have. Its hard be satisfied because nature tells us that we need more to be happy. How can we take life and not expect anything more than the daily bread. Just look at the example we have in the Lords prayer when they ask for their daily bread. Daily bread isn't something that you get extra but just the bare essentials needed to survive. So how are we so much happier when we have the simple things. The answer to this is because we appreciate the way God meant for life to be. How should we expect to be happy when all the material items in the world couldn't satisfy us. Nothing will ever take the place of God and thats just how it is. Your probably wondering where the greener grass comes into all of this. We are always looking for the greener grass but don't realize that others are looking at our grass. God has supplied all of us with what we need and we will always want something more but its better if we stayed with what are blessed with. Nothing is better than the individual gifts and blessings that God has given us. How can we give away what God gives us. Its good to think about how God thinks of us on a regular basis and brings things to us after thinking of the bare essentials. So I ask the question again, "What do we need to be happy". Happiness comes from everyday interaction with the father and nothing more. Through listening to him we can understand a little better how this world was created and what we were designed to do. Nothing can ever take the place of the person who made us individually. Its like one of those build a bear animals. You can pick it up and design anything that you want or need on it. This bear becomes yours and you love it more than if you were to just go buy one. This is how God is. He created every one of us to be who we were. Gods love can never be duplicated in the false happiness of material items
